ウォーターマーク・アーツ・アンド・クラフツは、株式会社WATERMARKが運営する東京国立市にある僅か15㎡の小さなギャラリーです。
絵画・版画・彫刻・オブジェ・クラフトなどジャンルはさまざまですが、アーティストたちの手仕事を感じるアート、生活を彩り暮らしを豊かにするアートを紹介しています。

屋号の[WATERMARK]は、最近ではデジタルコンテンツの電子透かしのことを指しますが、古くは14世紀から、ヨーロッパの紙工房がそれぞれの工房のマークを版画用紙に漉き込んだマークのことを意味します。 この仕事を始めた2000年頃、主に版画を取り扱っていたことから、版画にちなんだ「WATERMARK」という言葉(苗字の「清水」とも繋がり）から名付けました。 Landmarkのような大きな目印ではないけれど、何かしら痕跡（watermark)を残してゆきたい、なにかの橋渡しになれれば、という希望も込めています。

現在は企画展開催時のみ営業しております。展示スケジュールに関してはexhibitionで、当ギャラリーへのアクセスに関しましてはcontactにてご案内しております。開催日、お時間などご確認の上ご来廊下さいますようお願いいたします。

また美術工芸品の販売、展示会展覧会の企画運営のほか、個人宅や公共空間、施設建築へのアート計画などもしております。

Watermark arts and crafts is a small gallery of only 15 m², located in Kunitachi City, Tokyo. We have been introducing outstanding contemporary Japanese graphic art, prints, sculpture, craft, etc.

The trade name [WATERMARK] refers nowadays to the digital watermarking of digital content, but in ancient times, from the 14th century, it refers to the marks made by European paper workshops by straining the marks of their respective workshops onto printmaking paper. When we started this work in 2000, we mainly dealt with prints, so we named it after the word ‘WATERMARK’, which is associated with prints (also connected with our surname ‘Shimizu(=water)’). It is not a prominent mark like a landmark, but we want to leave some kind of mark (watermark) and hope to be a bridge to something else.

Currently, it is only open during the exhibition held. Please check the exhibition schedule, and we will have guidance in contact about access to the gallery.
